Lighting

Lighting can be broken up into two sections whether it is natural or artificial light. This is a very key aspect in the Mise en scene. Most Hip Hop magazines would consist of artificial lighting as the outcome would look better on the model/images. A few considerations that need to be considered are as followed:
·         Direction of the light
·         Intensity of the light source
·         Time of day that the light is representing

Lighting is very significant as it can help an audience see a pattern of either dark and light. Lighting is a key aspect of photography and I will use this knowledge and research to ensure I get the best possible image.

Lighting is a major aspect in photography as it can judge a picture by either making it spectacular or not. The picture above is a good example of a successful modelling image as the use of lighting shines on the main appealing parts of the picture, hence her body and face giving more of a sex appeal. This is one thing I have to take into consideration whilst taking my pictures as it is crucial of where the lighting blends in with the figure or object to have the best possible outcome.

In this image, the lighting is the total opposite. This shows that the lighting can block out most of an image but can still portray a good outcome decreasing the detail on the person. This image concentrates more on the body and posture of the woman as the rest of her is blocked out due the darkness. This would help engage the audience more as they would need to focus on the image further to be able to figure it out.
